I spent years leading engineering teams at one of the world’s top online trading platforms, and I often found myself drained, questioning whether I could really thrive in this kind of environment.

Over time, I realized I didn’t need to act more extroverted or always be “on” to succeed. I just needed to lead in a way that fit how I naturally operate — with thoughtfulness, preparation, and quiet focus.

Over the last two decades, I’ve coached and mentored other introverted engineering leaders to do the same:
